With the passage of time, he will develop the habit of being responsible in these matters. Till then, just be more patient with him.
When he fails to understand you emotionally- Men spend their days, more with the head, then the heart. So, many times they might take some time to catch your emotional sentiments. So if he just fails to catch the seriousness of matter, then do not fume. Give him time to understand it. Men are not so good at this art. So let him take his time. But surely, if the he really cares, then he will catch the cord very soon.
When they can’t speak- Usually men fail to give words to their emotions. They try to express their emotions more through their actions than words. So if he is failing to speak it up, then interpret his actions. A woman knows her man the best. so if he fails to come up with words, do not take it as reluctance. Watch out for yourself, what all he can do for you. That does more to show his love for you.
