Teenage Dating
Teenage is an age where teenagers must explore the world around them, have their share of enjoyment and fun, broaden their horizons, and also come to terms with the changes in their body and their feelings. As far as feelings and emotions are concerned, teenage is a slippery age as a person is experiencing a whole range of new emotions and desires but is not matured enough to handle them carefully.
Dating for some of the teenagers can be just a way of interacting with new people, enjoying good company, having a jolly time; and they may wait and watch the way things move on from there. For some, dating may be laden with a lot of emotions and attachments; they may take it too seriously, devote a lot of time and attention to it and may get carried away by the date.
Taking the first approach is better. Meeting people through dating and getting to know them throws light on their individual nature and characteristics. This helps you to get to know them at a personal level and then you can decide the course of the relationship. Do not jump to conclusions. Have patience.
Have clear intentions during the date. Have a stand or principle and stick to it. Know what your motive for the date is. Ideally it should be to spend some time with a particular person, have a good time, see if your attitudes match and then decide if there is a possibility of being in each other’s company and forming a relationship.
Do not decide that you are already in love with this person even before you have gone on a date. The person may come across as something else during the date and subsequent interactions.
Do not get too emotionally involved with the person or swayed by him during the date. The experience may be really warming and romantic but hold your head and strike a healthy balance between sentiments and practicalities.
If you have spoken to the guy online and are meeting him personally for the first time, inform a friend or trusted person who can watch out for you.
