Summer Styling

Who doesn’t want flowing, textured hair? But when the mercury rises, the last thing you want to do is spend hours under the hair dryer trying to achieve the perfect curl. Here are some simple ways to achieve the hottest looks of the season.
The Perfect Curls
A fast, effective way to style your hair is to separate it into five large sections when dry. Two sections should be on either side of your face and three at the back. Run a comb through each section and spritz them with a setting lotion. Twist each section from the roots to the ends, roll up into buns and secure with bobby pins. Take a hot iron and clamp each bun with the iron for three seconds and allow them to cool for 15 minutes. Release buns, tip your head upside down, tousle and spray some hairspray before flipping your head back to show off tousled waves.
A Foolproof Hair Do
A popular style this spring\summer is the half-up, half-down look. This style is great for formal events as it’s dressed up enough to feel special. It’s also superb for outdoor events, as the front of the style is secured even if there’s breeze. To get the look, comb a little mousse through damp hair. Blow-dry roughly first, then use a round brush to add shape, or add a few large Velcro rollers through the top section, blast with dryer, and leave to cool. Now, take the front section and pull it back from your face, securing with pins or elastic that matches your shade. Finish with spritzing some Anti-Frizz.
Beat The Heat With A High Bun
The high bun is a great option as it pulls all the hair up and away from the nape of the neck. It’s also a perfect look to try if your hair is dry, as you can comb through a leave-in treatment before styling. To get this look scrape your hair into a high ponytail and fasten it with elastic, then twist your lengths around it and secure them with fringe pins. Mist a hairspray to fix the look but don’t try to smooth down loose fly-aways. Their added texture keeps it current.
