Summer Make Up Tips
Summer is a season when there is more humidity and the skin tends to get oily, it sweats a lot, becomes sticky and appears dark as dust and grime get easily stuck to the skin surface. Make up needs to be done carefully during summer as it may get smudged due to humidity in the atmosphere. Make up may get caked due to release of sweat from the skin.
A smudged make up or make up that gets easily spoilt due to contact with sweat or water will spoil your appearance too. It may be best to use minimum make up during summer.
The ideal thing to do is to keep the skin well nourished and moisturized so that it does not appear dull and chapped. Apply a light moisturizing lotion on the skin to avoid itching white patches due to dryness.
Use a good quality moisturizer that does not contain oil and gets absorbed into the skin quickly. This will prevent the sticky feeling and also the tendency of skin to appear dark and oily.
Do apply sunscreen lotion for protection incase you are going out in the sun, so that you do not get tanned.
During summer, it may be best to avoid putting make up while you are travelling (to your workplace or for a party). This is because the make up is likely to get smeared due to the exposure to heat and constant sweating. Once you reach the destination, you may apply make up of your liking.
You can use compact powder slightly for brightening your skin or lightening the dark complexion. Avoid using compact excessively as it may get caked due to moisture. Similarly, avoid applying too much of blush on the skin.
You may use eyeliners as eyes are relatively less affected by sweat or moisture. You may also consider using products that are waterproof, so that it does not get smudged or wiped off on contact with sweat.
Applying lipstick is a safe option as it does not get smeared easily.
You may apply light make with soft colours like light pink, light blue, lavender, cream etc rather than heavy make up with bright/dark colours. Use oil free products.
