Giving your tot a sound sleep is as difficult, as it is essential. You can inculcate good sleeping habits in this age only. So it is important, that you pay a proper attention as to what habits are you forming in your child! A good sleep comes from a good atmosphere of the room. Make your child cozy by making his/her room a comfort zone. Here are a few tips to regulate your tot’s sleeping habits.
A Comfort Zone- Make your child’s room cozy, by giving a very comfortable look to the bed. Bedding that you choose should be sleep evoking. You can keep sleeping teddies at the bed side. This will give a boost to the child’s sleep. Lastly, you can use electrical appliances with dim light in your child’s room. It is sure to inspire a good sleep in him/her.
Snapping off the electronics- If your child is still in an age, in which electronics like computers, video games, cell phones can be avoided then try to avoid having all this in your child’s room. These products emit rays, which are not good for a child’s health. These things can also challenge a comfortable sleep. So, try to make his/her room a technology free zone.
Fixing the time- Develop a habit of sleeping at a certain time, in your child. Fix the time and the hours, at which your child must sleep. This habit will run through out his/her life, making life better for him/her.
Eating habits- Whatever the age might be, don’t put your child into the bed, right after he/she has had the dinner. This affects the efficiency of the digestive system. Let the food get ample time to get digested. If the child tends to get hungry again, then you can serve him/her with liquids like milk or juices. This will be good for health and digestion.
Cuddling- A child needs love. And it is essential that the child feels loved and cared for. So daily give some time to your child. Bed time stories and cuddling is needed by the child. So make it a habit to do so. As your child needs it.
