Saying “I Love You” Without Words
Is it true that actions speak louder than words? Of course they do. While we all go gaga over the fact that we have said “I Love You” over and over again, but seldom do we realize that maybe acting out that fact that we really love our partner is more important.
But how do we say “I love you” with out actually saying those words. All you need to do is to keep in mind the likes and dislikes of your partner and act upon that. Think, what is it that your partner craves the most? Is it 10 minutes peace and quiet in the morning to scan the newspaper whilst they drink their coffee? Or would they appreciate it if they didn’t have to get up to make breakfast for everyone one day. Maybe you could rearrange your schedule in such a way that you could provide that to your partner. Maybe serve them their coffee in bed, or just make breakfast for everyone before your partner walks down. This is a great way of starting the day with a silent “I love you”.
Let’s say, if your partner has a hobby and they are crazy about it, maybe you could buy a magazine associated with this and leave it on their chair for them to see it when they come home. Or if they crave a bubble bath at night to relax their aching muscle but don’t find the time to run it, maybe you could do it for them. These are small but obvious gestures for conveying the magic of “I love you” without ever uttering those words.
Whilst big gestures like buying an expensive gift or gifting a vacation are very nice, but nothing says “I love you” more than doing something that has added extra work to your day to create a treat for your partner. Even the smallest of gestures like running your finger softly down the cheek of your loved one as you pass, or placing your hand on theirs as you sit in a restaurant don’t go unnoticed and you can see your partner revel in it.
Well, that’s love!
