Bad breath is an indicator of poor dental care practices. Bad breath can mean that the teeth are probably decaying. This could result in tooth pain, extraction of teeth and dental complications. Bad breath can also make it embarrassing for you to interact face to face with people as they may notice it.
Bad breath can be prevented by proper dental care measures. It includes day to day oral hygiene practices and also regular check up and treatment by dental care professionals.
Decay of food particles could be one of the strong reasons for bad breath emanating. Decay of food particles take place due to bacterial action. Therefore bacterial action on the tooth and gums need to be contained if foul smell has to be prevented.
Brush your tooth atleast twice daily. Brush in a way that the deeper corners of the teeth are cleaned. The set of teeth in the interior get decayed faster if they are not cleaned well. Use a proper brush that can reach all corners of the mouth.
Using toothpaste containing herbal ingredients and soda will be effective in preventing the formation of plaque. Not allowing the formation of plaque is a step towards avoiding bacterial action. Flossing your teeth daily ensures better oral care. Clean your tongue too.
Rinsing the mouth after every meal consumed will also be helpful. It will help in removing the food particles that remain back after eating. Fill the mouth with water and swish water thoroughly in such a way that food particles from corners are washed off. This will prevent bacterial action and subsequent foul smell.
You may use a medical solution or a mouth wash like Listerine for better action on germs and bacteria. Rinsing mouth with water mixed with baking soda is considered to be a natural useful remedy.
Avoid eating onions or garlic if you want to avoid foul smell specifically for an event or occasion. Chewing on mint leaves or chewing gum or keeping cinnamon in the mouth will help in reducing foul smell.
