Milk products- Consume enough milk products. It has calcium and proteins in good quantity, which is important for the formation of bones of the child. It is also crucial for the mother, as it will provide her with enough strength. It actually asks for a lot of strength to nurture a life in you! So add a glass full of milk in the morning and at night, two slices of cheese with the lunch and cup full of curd or yogurt with the dinner.
Meat products- Meat products have all the nutrients that are essential for the strength of the mother, as well as for the growth and development of the child. But it is advisable to avoid the intake of non vegetarian products, as it has certain negativity, which will start showing its influence in this very beginning of the child’s life. You can add these in your daily diet- A fish, a tofu, beans, good amount of butter and ghee.
Food grains- Food you eat should have something from the genre of cereals. Have two slices of bread in your breakfast or a bowl of milk dipped cereal. Have a diet of hot cereals in the form of pulse in the lunch. Have at least a cup and a half of it.
Fruits- Fruits are the unavoidably important part of your diet during pregnancy. Eat a pomegranate which is rich in iron and very essential for you. other then this, eat all the seasonal fruits that you can lay your hands on. Make any two fruits, a part of your daily diet.
Vegetables- You need nutrients. And vegetables have them just in the requisite proportion. Try to have the seasonal vegetables in your lunch and dinner. Try to have them in the least processed form, so that they retain maximum of their nutrients.
