Keeping Your Wife Happy During Pregnancy
Pregnancy can evoke a whole lot of emotions. The wife could experience joy, anticipation, happiness, enthusiasm, but may also face anxiety, panic, worry in anticipation of what will happen. Wives need the strength, support, understanding and love of the husband during such times so that the phase of pregnancy becomes blissful and memorable despite the inconveniences and strain experienced.
Allowing the wife absolute relaxation and mental peace is essential. Many expecting mothers move base to their maternal home during the phase of pregnancy so that they receive adequate maternal care and comfort.
Spending time with your wife and discussing plans for the child, deciding the name etc can make the process happy and interesting. Having telephonic conversations and expressing concern and safety for the wife also makes the wife feel valued, loved and cherished.
Husbands could also spend the weekends with the wife in her maternal home so that they can share their emotions, feelings and joy together.
Treating your wife to her favourite food or taking her to plays or buying music collections for her to enjoy will add fun to the process. Relieving the pain or discomfort can also be helpful; for example, massaging the legs or shoulders.
To make your wife happy, you can also gift her a collection of pregnancy outfits so that she feels comfortable and pampered in it. Expressing your love for her, your care and concern, your happiness about the arrival of the kid, the anticipation and pride about fatherhood can also add to her happiness.
Taking your wife out on walks, helping her to exercise or helping her to release stress is also helpful.
Accompanying the wife on visits to the doctor or gynecologist will also make her feel valued and taken care of. It will add to the sense of togetherness and bonding.
Reducing her fear or panic by assuring her of your support and love will make her confident.
