Keep Body Odour at Bay
Body odour is a real turn off for people. No body likes to stay near a person who stinks. Though it is normal for everyone to perspire, yet not all people have a body odour. The reason behind this is that some people take better care of themselves. If you are looking for some simple ways to beat body odour, here they are.
The first and foremost thing that you need to check out is that you are wearing fresh clothes everyday. If you keep on wearing the same clothes for days, the sweat clinging on to your clothes will give out a stale odour. This should be done both in summers as well as in winters. Cotton clothes are better in dealing with body odour.
Take a bath everyday with an anti-bacterial soap and make sure you clean your underarm hair regularly. The sweat from your underarms cling on to the hair on the armpits, and give off a foul smell. After a bath, you should use talcum powder and deodorants to keep your underarms sweat-free and fresh.
There are some great home remedies to keep body odour at bay. Dilute a little vinegar in water, dip a cotton swab in it, and roll over the underarm area. This should make the smell go away, but don’t do this on a freshly shaved underarm.
You could also try diluting baking soda with water and rubbing it on to your underarm region. This also works in the same way as vinegar.
If you think that you suffer from body odour, you should avoid pungent foods like garlic and raw onions. Also deep fried food and spicy food should be replaced by fresh fruits, juices and green vegetables. Drinking a lot of fluids also helps in removing the odour to a large extent.
Just a word of caution here. A lot of people prefer applying anti-perspirants. Anti- perspirants block pores and prevent the secretion of perspiration. This is how they prevent body odour. But a deodorant on the other hand gives a fresh feeling. Avoid using anti-perspirants as much as you can.
So now say bye-bye to the infamous B.O!
