Improper Habits Among People With Bloated Stomach
Bloated stomach may cause irritation and make you feel conscious about it all the time. You may feel awkward about the bulge, become obsessed with it, and may think of ways to reduce the bulge, hide it or suppress it.
Sometimes you may have bloating stomach even if you haven’t eaten anything at all. This may really cause irritation or concern about the condition. Bloating may be a result of an internal gastric problem, formation of gas, improper diet, or lack of exercises.
Some of the harmful practices that must be avoided are trying to suppress the bulge. Do not wear pants or clothes that are very tight at the waist so that you can suppress the bulge. Wearing such clothes will create lot of uneasiness, irritation and will also interfere with the digestion process.
Do not wrap tight belts or clothes in the abdomen to reduce the bulge. It may not provide any relief, and could rather make you feel restless, uncomfortable and bulky.
Another improper response is to undertake vigorous exercises for the stomach region. Exercises are good but do not stretch yourself beyond a certain limit. Do not lie on your stomach too much or squeeze it so that the bulge retraces. Do not exercise immediately after eating food.
Do not stop eating because your stomach in bloating. Eat the right kind of food comprising dietary fibre, food with more roughage content like raw vegetables (tomato, cucumber, carrots) and fruits like papaya and banana. Drink plenty of water.
Another unhealthy tendency is to avoid eating proper food and replace it by food that doesn’t occupy much space. For example, wafers, chips, or bread slices, pizzas or other fast food or dry food that does not occupy much space and filling sensation in the stomach. This is an unhealthy practice.
Do not force yourself to relieve so that the bulging may slightly reduce. Do not strain the anal region for passing stools as it may create other ailments like bleeding or burning sensation.
