How to Treat Dark Knees

Many times, frequent bruises or scalding of skin cause darkening of the knees. Lack of proper care can also harm the skin to level of coarsening and darkening of the knees skin. If you have already developed this problem, then it is better to get it treated as soon as possible. A long duration of its sustenance will help it to endure for very long. You can resort to many home remedies as well as parlor treatments. Check it out, what all you can do for yourself.

The skin at the joints develops hard skin, which needs to be treated. The very first thing that you need to do is to look for the ways, through which you can get rid of this rough skin. Treat your knees with the Hydrogen Peroxide. Dilute the chemical by adding 1/3 of water in it. Take a cotton drenched in this mixture. Gently massage it against your skin for 10-15 minutes. This will scrape off the dead skin out.

Wash out the knee with fresh water and a mild soap. To restore the lost moisture, warm a cup full of coconut oil and massage your skin with it. Apart from smoothing the skin, it will bring back the lost luster to your knees. Repeat the process for around a week.

Lemon juice is a good natural bleach. Smear a coat of it on your knee cap and leave it to dry. As it dries to give a stiffening feeling, wash it off. You can carry on this process for around a week, on regular basis. To remove unwanted marks, use almond paste on your knees. Rub it against your knees for around 5-10 minutes.

The vitamin E contents in it will dull the unwanted marks. It will also add glow and smoothness to your knee skin.
