Hotel Room Fitness

If you are always on the run and don’t find time to continue your regular fitness routine, you need not worry anymore as fitness comes to the most frequent flyers and hotshot executives in their hotel rooms. Here I am not talking about the fitness centres in the hotel you might be staying in, but I am talking about the room that you stay in.
The first kind of exercise you can do is body weight squats with wall squats. What you can do is to hold one water bottle directly out in front of you with your feet shoulder-width apart and begin to squat down, keeping your toes pointed forward and going as low as possible. After repeating this about 30 times, you now need to stand with your back against a wall and move down into the squatting position so that your knees are at a 90-degree angle. Hold this position for about 20-30 seconds.
The second thing you can do is push-up sequence where you place your feet on top of the bed while keeping your hands on the floor. Your body should be on a flat decline. This is a slightly different version of your regular push-ups.
You can also try chair dips to work your triceps. You need to place your hands on the edge of the chair with your feet stretched out and resting on the edge of a second chair you’ve placed about 4 feet away. Perform your standard dip movement, pausing momentarily at the bottom of the position.
Also you can try doing ab contractions. Here you have to lie flat with your back on the floor holding one of the water bottles above your head with both hands. Now contract the abdominals so you bring your legs in towards your body while you’re crunching up. Once your knees come near the chest, reverse the movement until you are flat again (but not fully rested) on the floor. Complete 15-20 repetitions.
All these exercises don’t need to be done for as long as you would have done at your gym, but it is enough if you can devote about 20 to 30 minutes for these. So next time you are away from home and holed up in a hotel, don’t worry and work your way out to fitness.
