Haven’t we always heard that coffee is bad for your health? Yes, we have. As an avid coffee drinker myself, I have always felt bad when people would tell me to cut down on it. But now I know that my favourite cuppa has some benefits as well. And I know for sure, people like me are going to be extremely happy to read this.
I recently read about a research that was done by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health. This research said that people who drink more than six cups of coffee a day have reduced risk of diabetes. Isn’t that a blessing for people who are addicted to this stuff? It means that not only you get rid of your sleepiness and hangovers with coffee, but you can help prevent diseases as well.
This study found out that men who drank more than six cups of caffeinated coffee a day reduced their risk of diabetes by more than half, while women reduced their risk by 30 percent. However, this is not the case if you have decaffeinated coffee. However, you should always be careful about drinking coffee too much as it might lead to too much adrenaline in your system, and you can end up as a bunch of nervous energy.
Though it seems scientifically strange that coffee can reduce the risk of diabetes, yet it most certainly very good news for coffee-drinkers. The coffee industry has suffered a lot in the past due to the health risks that it had put forth. But now, there is a chance for them to come up with a new marketing strategy to capture the market again.
So, now coffee drinkers don’t feel guilty while gulping down one of your many cups of this caffeinated drink. Enjoy and toast yourself to a new beginning.
