Factors Causing Pimples
Pimples may be caused because of internal changes in the body or hormonal changes. For example, some girls and boys experience outbreak of pimples on reaching puberty. Some women may go through appearance of pimples only during the menstrual phase. During pregnancy too pimples may erupt.
Sometimes faulty face care measures can lead to pimples. For example, not using the right kind of products for your skin type. A person who has an oily skin may use face care products containing honey or may apply yogurt or milk cream to it. This will cause more oiliness and may provoke pimples.
Not putting in effort and time for face care may be a reason. Face needs to be washed and cleaned after exposure to heat and dust, so that the grime, moisture sticking to the face can be lessened and the pores are cleaned. In the absence of this the skin becomes oily, grimy, unclean and pimples may erupt.
The skin may be allergic to certain products whether natural or cosmetic. Using these products may lead to development of pimples. For example, some skin types develop pimples if neem based face wash or face pack in applied.
Mishandling pimples can aggravate the condition. Some of us tend to break pimples, fiddle with it, touch it frequently, do not wash our hands before touching the skin and the affected area. Due to contact with dirt, because of spreading of the pus and impurities due to breakage of pimples, the problem can compound further.
Poor eating habits may be one of the reasons causing pimples to erupt. For example, a person may be consuming more oily, deep fried items, may eat more of chips and wafers, use more of milk and milk products. These products contain oil/fat and can cause pimples.
Drinking more of soft drinks, tea, coffee rather than drinking enough water, and less consumption of raw fruits and vegetables may cause pimples too.
