Cycling is considered to be one of the best outdoor activities or sports that can contribute to health and fitness in a long way. It not only is a good activity for fitness but can help in mental stimulation and relaxation too.

The sport also helps in improving mental alertness and concentration. It helps in mind and body co-ordination. You develop strong reflexes and mental agility by cycling as it demands you to make changes, and twists and turns as and when you have to negotiate the cycle.
It is one of the most relaxing activities one can take up. Cycling early in the morning or late in the evening when there is good breeze and pleasant climate can be very calming and de-stressing. One can go cycling on his/her own or make it a group activity or hobby too. It helps in reducing tension and depressing feelings.
