Bottle feeding of the child needs certain precautions. It is not as easy as boiling and handing the glass of milk to the child. A child is very tender and needs extra care. Every little thing needs to be attended with care. To acquaint yourself with all the knowledge of feeding a child with bottle, read out the following procedure.
Hygiene should be the most precisely observed thing. So, start with the washing of your hands. After this, boil some water in a clean pan. Pour it in a beaker, cover it and leave it to cool down. The bottle needs to be sterilized. So, dismantle the bottle and sterilize the body, cap, and the ring of the bottle. This will ensure a germ free condition. After you are done with the sterilization, place the parts of the bottle on a clean dish. Avoid bringing it in touch with the surface of your kitchen. This is essential to retain the hygienic qualities of it.
Pour down the boiled water in the bottle, when you find its temperature down enough. Fill the needed amount. If you want to save the rest of the water for later use, then it is better to keep it in a clean flask, which would retain its required temperature along with purity. Now add the milk powder to the bottle, ring up the bottle cap and shake it up to mix the powder with water.
Test the temperature of the milk. If it is blood warm, then it is ready for the child to drink. You can put the bottle under the running tap water to cool it down, if so is needed. Child is very tender in its requirements. If your child leaves the milk, then do not feed your child with the remaining milk again. You need to feed your child with fresh milk every time.
