A Cure for Cracked Heels
To be truly beautiful, you need to take care of your feet as much as you need to take care of your face. I have seen so many women who dress up beautifully, have perfect makeup on, smell nice – but one glance at their feet and god forbid us! Cracked heels are a very common problem during winters, but let me tell you it can also be a problem during summers too. To make sure you don’t have to be embarrassed about your heels, here are a few ways to combat this problem:
1. The best way to have a smooth heel is to soak your heels in lukewarm water and scrub off the dead skin with the help of a pumice-stone. You can also use a foot scrub on your feet to not just smoothen your heels but also the rest of your feet.
2. Moisturizing your feet is very important. Feet lose their moisture and as a result there are cracked heels and flaky skin. Use a good quality moisturizing lotion, and put on the socks to cover it for sometime. This method will protect the feet from excessive dryness and will also let the moisturizer enter the crevices of your feet.
3. Massaging your heels and your feet with warm coconut oil or olive oil is another good option. This helps in providing the nutrition that the skin of your feet requires. Applying some wax after it has cooled off helps cover your cracks.
4. One great tip is to melt paraffin wax and mix it well with a little mustard oil. If you apply this on the affected area of your heels for 10 to 15 days, you will notice a considerable difference.
5. It is strange that walking barefoot can help your feet. Barefoot walks help tone the muscles of your feet and increasing the blood circulation of your feet. So make sure to take a walk in your bare feet early mornings to make sure your feet are healthy and beautiful.
So, now go ahead and let people drool over those smooth, soft feet in slinky sandals!
