10 Ways To Love Exercise

    Even though we are aware of the immense benefits of regular exercising, multi-tasking it into our busy schedules can be a tough call. So here are some easy tips for moms on how to add some physical activity in our daily chores.

    Walk The Talk
    Instead of catching up with your local gal pals via phone, e-mail or text, arrange to meet up with them for a walk-take your child with you in a stroller. Don’t be disheartened if you are not in the same place. Just dial your friend’s number on your cell phone and walk while you talk.

    Mommy and Me Fitness Classes
    These classes can be an excellent way to not just get you moving but also spend some quality time with your kids and meet others moms. From yoga to classical ballet, there are lots of fun options available.

    Pyjama Aerobics
    Heard of pyjama parties? Now try some pyjama aerobics with your child first thing in the morning. Just pop in an exercise DVD of your choice and get moving.  It will wake you up a lot better than a cup of tea and you don’t even have to drive anywhere to stay fit.

    Go For “Play Dates”
    Instead of sitting around while your kids have all the fun, get in touch with your inner child. Try scaling a rock climbing wall or exploring the play structures at the indoor play parks or take a power walk around the zoo.

    Play Around
    Catch up with your co-workers, neighbours or friends to have a friendly competition of a game over the weekends. Trust me, it will be real fun.

    Take A Dip
    Swimming can burn twice as many calories as walking. So what are you waiting for, enrol for some parent-child or special family swim classes at the local club.

    Digital Games
    Try your hand at some video games like digital dance classes or virtual boxing. You will be so engrossed in the game that you won’t realize you’ve been at it for hours.

    Go Backpacking
    Short hikes can provide a great change of scene, a chance to explore new places, and a chance to get moving. Just research the location and make sure it fits everyone’s difficulty level before going for it.

    Mall Walk
    You can take the advantage of the shopper free environment of a mall in the morning and do a few laps.
